Big presentation coming this week
We are excited to announce — we have been invited by the Financial Intelligence Unit (“FIU”) of Zimbabwe to present at the inaugural anti-money laundering conference on the 13th and 14th October 2022.
It is an immense privilege for us to attend with over 250 leaders in the regulatory and banking space set to be present. Our goal is to present a roadmap for a regulatory infrastructure for digital currencies and digital wallets (known as Virtual Assets and Virtual Asset Service Providers).
We believe that if Zimbabwe were to appropriately regulate Virtual Assets, the country could become a banking centre with billions of dollars of investment money coming into the country.
We are humbled to be invited to this conference to represent the private sector. The public and private consultation process is an essential step in regulating Virtual Assets in Zimbabwe and connecting them into global markets.
We are really pleased with the hard work done by our team over the years, and that this hard work is being recognised. We have spent over four years building a community in Zimbabwe, together with the associated technological infrastructure. We believe that the logical next step is a solid regulatory framework to unlock the potential of Virtual Assets to transform the Zimbabwean nation.
We are excited to be able to share in this journey with the FIU and we honour the work that they are doing in this space.
Our presentation will be on Thursday 13th October in the afternoon. We will share the link to the live video stream via our social media accounts.
